ThyroBase started in an endocrinologist's office with four words: "you have thyroid cancer." Two weeks later, Mum had a seven-hour total thyroidectomy. The cancer had spread to her lymph nodes too, so they came out the same day. Then the part nobody warned us about. The months that came after.
