Warm Chocolate Cinnamon Night Drink: A Bedtime ThyroBase PM Recipe

By ThyroBase · 1 min read

A warm cocoa for the end of the day

PM is Chocolate + Cinnamon, made with cocoa and vanilla bean, so it already tastes like a mug of something comforting. Warm oat milk makes it creamier.

Have it about 45 minutes before bed, with or after dinner.

Serves 1 · Prep 2 minutes · Cook 3 minutes

What you need

  • 1 PM serve (40g) of ThyroBase PM, Chocolate + Cinnamon
  • 250 ml oat milk (or water), warmed
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon, to finish

How to make it

  1. Warm the oat milk gently over low heat until it's warm, not hot. Stop before it starts to steam. You can also warm it in the microwave in 30-second bursts.
  2. Pour a splash of the warm milk into your mug, add the PM serve and stir into a smooth paste.
  3. Pour in the rest of the milk, stirring or whisking as you go. A small milk frother makes it foamy.
  4. Dust with cinnamon and sip it about 45 minutes before bed.

Notes before you start

  • If you take your thyroid medication in the morning, there's no gap to plan around: the PM serve sits at the other end of the day.
  • If you take your thyroid medication at night, keep the same 4-hour gap: have your PM serve earlier in the evening, with or before dinner, well clear of your tablet.
  • Warm, not hot, keeps it smooth and easy to sip. Water works too if you'd like it lighter.

Why it suits a thyroid routine

  • ThyroBase PM is a food, not a medicine: a warm chocolate drink with plant protein and minerals, and no added caffeine.
  • For anyone on a morning tablet, an evening serve sits well away from it.
  • It sits alongside your thyroid medication, never instead of it.

This is everyday food, not treatment. Check with your doctor or dietitian about advice for you.
